Hillsdale FFA Team Earns 1st Place in Ag Power Diagnostics Contest

JEROMESVILLE, Ohio — Members of the Hillsdale FFA Chapter earned 1st place at the Agriculture Power Diagnostic Career Development Event (CDE) on February 2, competing against fourteen chapters from across the region.
Congratulations to the Hillsdale FFA team of Reed Twining and Wyiatt Hynek for their outstanding performance and first-place finish!
Students traveled to Crawford County to take part in the hands-on contest, where teams of two diagnosed and repaired five pieces of agricultural equipment under timed conditions.
Each station allowed 20 minutes for repairs. Teams were scored on diagnostic accuracy, logical repair steps, and proper tool use. Safety requirements included Z87.1 safety glasses and working on equipment secured with jack stands. Participants supplied their own hand tools and focused on troubleshooting rather than major equipment teardown.
