Hillsdale FFA Members Report Spring Successes at April Board Meeting
JEROMESVILLE, Ohio—Hillsdale FFA members Jillian Cowger and Julia Murawski spoke at the April Board of Education meeting to recap another impressive season of competition, service, and hands-on learning in the classroom and beyond.

FFA students represented Hillsdale proudly at several Ohio FFA Career Development Events this spring.
Nursery & Landscaping Team
The state runner-up team will now represent Ohio at The Big E in Massachusetts.
Top Individual Placers:

- 6th: Hunter Hickey
- 23rd: Joshua Burson
- 33rd: Jacob Schwendeman
Agronomy Team
The team placed 5th in the state contest.
Top Individual Placers:
- 10th: Reed Twining
- 20th: Wyatt Arnold
- 36th: Caleb Burgess
- 47th: Aiden Hoffman
Floriculture Team
After a first-place win at the district level, the team placed 8th overall in the state!

- 17th: Blake Schwan
- 84th: Julia Murawski
- 124th: Keith Butcher
General Livestock Team
With a 3rd place finish in the preliminary round, this team advanced to the state finals, to be held April 26.

Poultry Management Team
The team placed 41st statewide.

Equine Management Team
Team Placement: 74th
Top Individuals:
- 187th: Ella Braeunig

Hillsdale’s team placed 2nd overall April 5.

Students are preparing for the annual spring sale, which opens soon:

Public Sale Dates: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays between May 8–24

Custom Planting Available: Community members can drop off empty pots by May 5 to have them filled with beautiful blooms grown by the Greenhouse class.

The FFA Banquet was held April 6 and celebrated the chapter’s accomplishments throughout the year.
